L. Spenser Smith, in his first solo music effort, demonstrates strong tenor vocals combined with musical agility and prowess with Unstoppable. Produced by award-winning Daniel Johnson {of the Israel & New Breed music franchise), Unstoppable is a careful blend of contemporary praise and worship with a jazz and pop fusion. Smith has assembled an awesome cadre of writers & tworshippers to re-introduce his signature sound with this musical offering.
The lead single, “My Life” written by Smith & Justin Francis, is a pwerful ballad that stands to be sung in worship gatherings across the nation.
L. Spenser Smith is no stranger to the gospel music industry. Many people came to know him on the national front when he shared to mic with Karen Clark Sheard, singing “I Won’t Complain”, his own upbeat arrangement for Sheard’s sister, Twinkie Clark, for her live recording, Twinkie Clark-Terrell Presents: Florida A&M University Gospel Choir; of which he was a former director & arranger.
Nearly twenty years later, after releasing several projects with his group, Testament, and a recent release from his church choir, the Impact Nation Choir, Unstoppable marks the beginning of L. Spenser Smith’s career as a solo artist.
“I wanted to wait until the right time to re-introduce myself as a solo artist to the gospel world,” says Smith. “This recording wasn’t just a spirit-filled worship experience, it was FUN! We had such a great time putting together the music and sharing the songs with the audience that evening. We want the essence of this worship experience to be felt by the listenerthe same way those who attended the recording did. The principle theme is that with the power of God working within us and through us, we are absolutely Unstoppable!”
Our identity in Christ is the power source of our existence. We are overcomers. We have the ability to be and do all we’ve been created to do. We gave you a soundtrack! I’mo keep on sayin’…
