With members from Ohio and Michigan, Nashville alternative rock group Constellations has quickly garnered a reputation during their tenure as students at Belmont University.
Their first record, An Honest Heart, showcases the stories of maturing, growing up, and moving forward from the perspective of lead singer, Jason Wozniak. "I wrote these songs over the course of a few years, realizing my change in heart, and moving past a lot of the things that haunted me the most", says Wozniak. The fans agree, as Constellations attracted over 250 people to the Anchor, a venue within Nashville, on March 20th, 2015 for the release of An Honest Heart. Within the calendar year, Constellations has played over twenty shows in Nashville, several more in the Midwest Region of the United States, and are in high demand for more.
Lead singer and songwriter Jason Wozniak leads Constellations with a booming, and commanding voice with eclectic songwriting skills that far surpass his age. The artistry of Constellations begins with his passion for music.. Cole Suddarth, lead guitarist, brings creative inspiration with his unique approach to guitar work, drawing influence from Young the Giant, MewithoutYou, and more. Bassist Andersen Reed also is a fan favorite, he has made a name for himself touring with other bands such as Midwest Ambition, and being the source of energy in live performances. Drummer Aaron Krak has a reputation for being a quieter person, but shout O-H! you will get an I-O! right back. Keyboardist Adam Lochemes is the newest member of Constellations, but adds another element of musical depth found in similar bands such as COIN, Relient K, and more.
Constellations formed as college freshman at Belmont University, in August, 2014. Less than two weeks after first meeting, Constellations auditioned for, and performed in the 2014 Belmont Christian Showcase Series, in the Curb Arena for over a thousand students and industry professionals. The members wrote the remaining songs of An Honest Heart in Pembroke Hall at Belmont, and recorded in Ocean Way Studios in Nashville. The name Constellations comes from the shared belief that individual stars do not stand out, it's groups formed in union that combine to make something more than themselves. Taken in context, there are greater things in life for us than we can do alone, a message taken to heart in the songs written for An Honest Heart.
While their Freshman year at Belmont was exciting and groundbreaking, Constellations embraces their Sophomore year by writing new material, playing more shows in Nashville and beyond, and preparing to record an EP in early 2016.
Constellations' record, An Honest Heart is available for download via all digital media outlets, physical copies on their online store, and can be streamed on Apple Music and Spotify.
