Tanya is a Singer-Songwriter, Speaker and Worship Leader whose artistry occupies the space somewhere between the sincerity of Sara Groves and the passion of Steffany Grettzinger. She recently recorded her third independent, full length album, titled Love Lines The Last Horizon. The story and message of the new album were marked by the unanticipated events that occurred in the early morning hours of June 30th, 2015, on the first day of recording. You can read the story in Tanya's own very personal words here.
Yet even in the midst of a challenging season, song stories of hope, redemption and even celebration were birthed. As Tanya states: "This recording captures both the light and the dark places in the process of learning how to take a seat at the celebration of life. There is a beautiful chorus of hope being sung over us because of the Gospel and we're invited to join in and sing redemption's song. Yet, we still have to make peace with the reality that learning how to live in light of the Gospel, learning the ways of grace and how to love and be loved, is a life long process.
Produced by Ben Shive (Colony House, Rend Collective, JJ Heller), Love Lines The Last Horizon is as colorful and true as collaborations come. From sweeping cinematic moments to lyrics that combine both truth and the vulnerable human experience, the scale of the album is as wide as the emotional delivery of each song.
With a leaning towards the pastoral, Tanya is an Artist offering the world a glimmer of hope through songs mined from the depths of her own history with God, people and the world. From start to finish, Love Lines The Last Horizon is defined by nothing short of this calling.
