Stephanie Samuel was raised in a family full of musicians and performers. After moving many times in her childhood, she has no real hometown, but considers Texas and Oregon her home states. Considering her upbringing, it's no surprise you can hear hints of everything from indie bands to country to brit rock and pop in her music. She grew up singing in church and school, but since she began leading worship at the Pasadena International House Of Prayer in 2011, it grounded not just her songwriting but also her faith. Worship at PIHOP influenced her songwriting sensibilities and of course the theme of "Secret Light". Since 2014, she has been sharing daily Christmas carol videos every December on social media called #StephSingsChristmas. Last year she used the Acapella App to make her charming and dynamic songs, and was featured by the app four times in December with over 40,000 views on Instagram and even more in the app. The next natural step was to make more Christmas music. Her wish is that this Christmas EP warms your heart not just during the holidays, but all year 'round.
