Josiah Williams can be defined as a lyrically expressive, adult-kid who points to the cross through Hip-Hop & Rhythmic Soul. Carrying the encouragement of God’s grace and Christ’s actions, Williams’ music is reflective, fresh, and engages in truthful storytelling. Though he was once known as the opening act for Chance the Rapper, The Cool Kids, Vic Mensa (and Kids These Days), he re-crafted his performance style for church and community-based audiences.
The Milwaukee native has released multiple musical projects since 2011, gathering over 600,000 views/downloads on various platforms. His most recent release, Rerouting, is his Christian Rap debut, and has become the motivation for his music ever since! “Glorifying God is the ultimate goal,” Williams says. “I live with Colossians 3:17 [and 23] in my mind. No matter what I do, I want Him to be seen.”
Williams has also worked with Bradley University, Peoria’s Louisville Slugger Sports Complex, and the ELITE program to create theme songs and music videos for their organizations! He has received tens of thousands of views on these projects, and counting!
“My mind is never at rest. I’m always thinking about the next song, video, project concept. No matter what I’m working on, I’ll never be finished... and it’s not about the view count, the attention, etc. I just do what I love... and it’s all for The King!”
