Bouwer Bosch is a well known name in the South African music and entertainment industry. He is best known as the lead singer of the SAMA nominated and multi award-winning group Straatligkinders since 2006, and member of the duo group Dans Dans Lisa, with Deon Meiring of the band Glaskas. In later years, Bouwer has also emerged as an actor and solo artist.

Born in Pretoria in 1984 and raised in Potchefstroom where he matriculated at Potchefstroom Gimnasium in 2002, Bouwer relocated back to Pretoria in 2003 where he worked for 13th Floor, a Christian company specialising in the performing arts. In 2005 he spent 5 months in the USA where he worked for an organisation ‘Christ in Youth’ and specialised in drama. Bouwer started his BA Communications degree at the North West University (Potch) in 2006 and completed the degree in 2009. It was in these years that the band ‘Straatligkinders’ was formed and they released their first album in 2006.
