Energetic, creative, and professional are just a few words which best describes this gifted and young artist, Eric Birdine. Eric's road to the distinguished career in gospel music he now enjoys began at the age of eight. Throughout the country, Eric is known for his directing and singing abilities. He exemplifies the capability to mesmerize any audience with his dynamic style of directing that's reminiscent of his best friend and mentor the late O'Landa Draper, each time he delivers the word through song. Eric was a member and business manager of MDM and Voices Ministries, under the leadership of Myron and Demarcus Williams. Eric has done background vocals for some of gospels greatest, such as Darrell Blair, Myron Williams, Jonathan Nelson, Dorothy Norwood, Karen Clark-Sheard, Juanita Bynum, Jonathan Butler, John Francis, Kirk Franklin, James Hall, Kim Burrell, V. Michael McKay, Beverly Crawford, Tommye Young-West, and Myron Butler; to name a few. Eric is one of the featured background vocalist on Gaye Arbuckle's new release, "Think About It". He is also one of the featured solo artists on the album, "The Modern Day Music Workshop", "Awesome God". Eric recently received confirmation from God to do what he loves most and pursue his own career in music ministry. He realizes the importance of real ministry and has waited patiently as God has prepared him.
The Messengers
Who are the Messengers? The Messengers are a group of anointed, energetic, and versatile singers. The Messengers are compiled of singers who are ministers, ministers of music, and leaders of individual ministries. So, the Messengers truly have a God given message. The Messengers were blessed from their beginning in August 2006, when asked to back up Jonathan Nelson at the Gospel Music Workshop in Dallas, Texas. The Messengers formally introduced the ministry in January 2007, with national recording guest -- Crystal Rucker, LaTonja Blair, and Candy West; with standing room only in the church that seated one thousand. The Messengers were blessed to do the five city Rhythm and Praise Tour in 2007, with National Recording Artist Darrell and LaTonja Blair, X-Factor and Martha Buries. The Messengers have also been blessed to appear on TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) with Jonathan Nelson and the Legendary Dorothy Norwood. The Messengers were recently nominated for the 2008 Texas Gospel Excellence Award, "Group of The Year". The Messengers have also shared the stage with Myron Butler & Levi, George Huff, and The McClurkins; to name a few. Eric Birdine and The Messengers believe the Best Is Yet To Come as they continue to spread God's word through the ministry of music.
