Personal Praise
From early beginnings as a family singing group and praise team, PERSONAL PRAISE has since evolved into one of the most promising Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) duos in the country. PERSONAL PRAISE has taken audiences by surprise through their tight harmonies, strong vocal presentations, and creative dance accompaniments. This Duo consist of teen siblings Tez and Yana.
PERSONAL PRAISE has ranked #1 on sites like Reverbnation and continues to gain momentum with teen audiences across the country. The mission of PERSONAL PRAISE is to empower young people to know they are never too young to have a personal relationship with Christ.
The brother-sister duo, Tez (17) and Yana (16) are no strangers to the singing of God's praises. In 2007 PERSONAL PRAISE was born as a family singing group, but it quickly became apparent the duo was destined to be much more.
As Tez and Yana began to develop their own unique style of singing, they wanted to deliver a more youthful approach to Christian music, one which would appeal to a more modern audience. Yana possessed a strong traditional gospel sound likened to a young Tramaine Hawkins. Tez was quite the opposite and preferred the smooth R&B soul of artists such as John Legend. Their father, a singer, songwriter, and music leader began writing music to fit the group's personal taste and needs.
Although no longer performing with the children, Mr. and Mrs. Person are still keeping it a family affair through management and guidance via Person2Person Youth Talent Management Company, which was founded by the father, Roberto Person.
PERSONAL PRAISE’s first nationally distributed album, “We Are PERSONAL PRAISE” includes the radio single entitled, “The Call”. “The Call” was first recorded in the late 80’s by critically acclaimed and award-winning group, “Anointed” which featured a brother-sister duo. Also featured is the single, “Just Enough” which is quickly becoming a fan favorite.
