It happened in a blink. One day, Revive was an Australian-based Christian music band on the outside of the country’s decidedly secular music scene. The next, the quartet was living in Atlanta, about to become a key addition to America’s growing Christian music industry. Under the tutelage of Third Day frontman Mac Powell, who produced the band’s first Essential album, Revive, the band earned a New Artist Of The Year nomination in the Gospel Music Association’s 2010 Dove Awards.

Revive consisted of Dave Hanbury, Rich Thompson, Tyler Hall, and Michael Wright. Formed in 2004, they had success throughout Australia, releasing two albums, as well as supporting Third Day on a national tour in January 2007. The band then relocated to America to pursue their career in Christian music. This led to the release of their 2009 album, Chorus Of The Saints.

In August 2009, it was announced that Tyler Hall would be leaving the band. He was replaced by Nevertheless guitarist AJ Cheek. Revive was featured in the 2010 Winter Jam tour along with several other Christian artists and bands such as Tenth Avenue North, Third Day, Robert Pierre, Newsboys, and more. 2010 also saw the release of their second Essential Records album, Blink.

In July 2011, Revive announced on their website that they had decided to finish their adventure and were saying farewell to the band.
