"Showing there's more to Australian ska than Area-7 (thankfully!), Sounds Like Chicken throw off the two tone shackles and step up for a genre-bending tour de force. It's been a few summers since seven pieces with horn sections could be considered in any way cool, but these Melbournites are giving it a shot. Sitting somewhere between Less Than Jake, The Police and Voodoo Glowskulls (albeit replacing the African mysticism with testified Christianity), the muscianship is accomplished, deep-frying syncopated ska and punk with ambient reggae breakdowns, chunky minor-chord scales and the occasional pirate ballad" - Kerrang Magazine
