Shelly began her life with Christ in 2002 after a battle with illness and emotional struggle that lasted almost a full year. After a season of panic attacks, horrendous nightmares, and unexplained problems she began to hear the voice of the Lord for the first time. After His pursuit of her heart, she surrendered fully her life to Him and His desires. Shelly holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with a certification in Health Care Management with years of experience leading sales teams in the area of advanced lipid and wellness. While her travels allowed her to visit many places across the country, she also spent weekends ministering in song and releasing music albums to exalt the name of Jesus. Soon she felt the Lord leading her to a life of faith in full-time ministry. While still in the business arena, Shelly released 2 albums, In the Midst, her debut album and in 2008, Under the Shadow of Your Wings, launching her gift as a songwriter. Shelly has no skill to read or write music but asked the Lord for such a gift after she heard Him whisper, “you receive not because you ask not.” Soon, she began to simply hear a melody or lyric begin in her head and she would simply write and record all she heard the Lord giving her. Early in ministry, Shelly launched an after school girls program called Drama Queens for the King which led into the publishing of her first ministry magazine, Drama Queen Magazine. The magazine focuses on encouraging girls of all ages to take their place in the Kingdom with their unique gifts and talents while turning all worldly drama into zealousness for Christ alone. In 2013, Shelly and her board of directors opened a DQK Studio in Whitehouse, Texas that operated for one year. The studio cultivated an after school program for girls to dabble in various gifts and talents mentored by women who were being used by the Lord. She was known for teaching them how to deliver miracles at the leading of the Holy Spirit. In the years to come, Shelly encountered Christ in a valley season where He poured out His Spirit upon her and began to give her new songs and messages in the form of poetry. In this season, she learned the depths of “not by might, not by power, but my MY Spirit, says the Lord” (Zechariah 4:6) and He began to give her sight into the breaches in the walls of His Church. This launched Shelly into writings that she never expected, but the Lord would give at His appointed times. To date, Shelly has written and published several issues of Drama Queen Magazine, a poetry magazine called From My Closet to Yours, and other publications for women and girls which can be found in her 320 Publishing resources. She has released now 3 full length albums including, Resurrection..a rising up again, and soon to be 7 music single releases. The years 2016-2017 included the release of a book unlike her others called Rebuild the Ruins-The Baptism of the Holy Spirit to call the Church back to the full gospel of Jesus Christ and to help bridge the gap between the New Testament Church and today’s westernized Christianity. She was recently invited to be included in “Texas’s Best Emerging Poets” book published by Z Publishing House along with many other gifted poets. You will find her say, “only God…” when it is mentioned. Shelly’s heart is merely to pour out all Christ pours into her. She has proven a messenger of the Lords to weary and broken hearts. He has taught her in the closet times and in the valley seasons of His nature and gentleness. She is burdened for the broken and lost…. And their hopelessness in this time on earth. You will find her in places of despair hoping to renew faith in hearts that have been heavy and felt forgotten. She is a minister in whatever form Christ chooses. She will tell you she desires to be a psalmist, rather than a singer; a scribe rather than a writer; and a gentle image of His heart to the hurting. She longs for holiness and righteousness to be evident in her life and that she can share her experiences with Him with others through her love of His Word and His presence.
