Skye Reedy is an anointed worship leader, artist, writer, and double Grammy Certificate winning vocalist based in Nashville, TN. For the last five years she has been leading worship alongside Michael W. Smith, touring around the world. She is passionate about the local church and ushering in the tangible presence of God everywhere she is invited to sing. In addition to leading worship for churches, conferences, and women’s ministry events Skye loves to step in and assist church families during interim seasons.
She grew up leading worship in inner-city multicultural churches in her home state of Florida. By age 15, she was singing in churches across America as well as national television platforms such as TBN and CTN. She garnered lots of label attention, but took a step back from music when her mother passed away the next year.
In 2007 she relocated to Nashville to attend Belmont University. Upon graduating, she immediately began working professionally as both a studio and touring background vocalist. Skye has toured and recorded with artists including Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Mandisa, Matthew West, Brandon Heath, Brooks and Dunn, Jordan Smith, Melinda Doolittle, Disney Park Parades, Sandy Patty, Jaci Valazquez, Capital Kings, and many others. Alongside her touring schedule she held several worship leader and director positions at local churches in Nashville.
Skye felt called back into her own artistry and worship ministry after a few years of traveling and recording with other artists. In 2018, Michael W. Smith invited her to come on the road with him once again, now as a worship artist for his “Surrounded World Tour”.
Spring 2019, Skye was a featured artist on Michael W. Smith’s new live worship album, “AWAKEN” singing the iconic song, ‘Agnus Dei’. The event was recorded live with 14,000 people in attendance, alongside other artists and speakers like Cece Winans, John Gray, Nicole C. Mullen, Alex Seeley and more.
Skye continues to travel full-time leading worship and mentoring worship leaders at churches, conferences, and ministry events such as Willow Creek NS and DC Talk’s ‘Jesus Freak Cruise’. Her next EP of worship songs for the church is set to release spring 2020.
