Jenna Grace May is an artist, worship leader, and speaker based out of Nashville, Tennessee. She is gifted and anointed with a heart for God’s presence and His people; her songs are reverent, powerful, and prophetic. Jenna is passionate about people having a life changing encounter with Jesus and seeing the kingdom of God come on earth as it is in heaven. She and her husband, David, travel together leading worship and sharing the love of Jesus all across the country.
Growing up in a Christian family, Jenna met Jesus at a young age and quickly became filled with a desire to share His love across the earth. From her earliest memories, Jenna's parents had her singing in the choir at church. She began playing piano as well, and discovered she had a natural love for melodies and music. She soon also developed a love for writing and poetry. As she grew older, she decided she wanted to write songs about her first love, Jesus. That's when she began songwriting. Over the years, Jenna's passion for ministry and missions grew stronger, and she decided to pursue ministry full time.
At age 19, Jenna began serving and ministering at a Christian camp in Tennessee. She quickly decided to stay and continue serving at the camp as long as God said "yes." That "yes" from God continued for the next 10 years, and Jenna's life was impacted forever. It was at this camp that Jenna began leading worship and fell in love with being in the presence of God. Also, during this time Jenna attended a local Christian college and earned a B.A. degree in Worship Leadership. These years were integral in Jenna's growth in leadership, and the deepening of her relationship with Jesus.
After 10 years of serving at the camp in the mountains of Tennessee, God began to lead Jenna into the next season of her life. She met her husband, David, and they began serving on staff at local churches. During this time, Jenna developed a passion for leadership and her heart for shepherding God's people expanded. As these areas of her life grew, so did her vision for ministry and for her music. Jenna had experienced many levels of healing through worship, and had watched God do miraculous things through the power of a heart surrendered to Him. She knew she wanted to record the worship songs she had written, and travel to share the message of Jesus with whoever would listen.
Over the next several years, God began opening doors for Jenna and David to travel and lead worship. After relocating to Nashville, TN in 2016, Jenna recorded and released her first three worship songs, "Found," "Rescue," and "Constant." (Available everywhere you listen to music.) Since moving to Nashville, she has sung alongside influential worship leaders like Chris McClarney and Aaron Shust, and has led worship for speakers such as Angie Smith, Jo Saxton, Darren Whitehead, and Rebekah Lyons. Jenna now serves under the leadership of Dustin Smith at HopeUC Nashville. HopeUC Nashville is one of eleven HopeUC campuses planted by Mark and Darlene Zschech out of Australia.
Currently, Jenna is busy songwriting and recording, serving at her local church, and traveling to lead worship or speak at conferences, worship nights, and events all across the country with her team. Jenna also has a Podcast that she uses to share stories, encouragement, and leadership teaching.
