Classically trained opera singer and banjo player Sarah Jane combines her powerful vocals, her banjo playing, and her love for electronic music into a mix of quirky indie pop songs under the artist name Juniper Vale. Inspired by artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor, and Post Malone, Juniper Vale has gained 30+ million streams online and been added to 40+ official DSP playlists.
Sarah invites fans into a fantastical sci-fi world, akin to the Gorillaz, as her illustrated doppelgänger searches for home on the back of her giant turtle companion Senelala. Her music and stories have attracted tens of thousands of followers online.
Juniper Vale released a series of monthly singles starting with "The Last Time" in 2016 and resulting in her debut album in 2018 titled "Everything is Color." One of her leading singles from the album "Fractions" charted on Spotify's viral charts in the Philippines, Malta, and Indonesia in 2018. She then had another viral hit in Canada with Vian Izak on his remix titled "Revolver (I the AI Remix)."
In 2019 one of her singles "Mirror Mirror" was nominated for an Independent Music Award for best AC Song. Music from the album was also featured on geek culture mega platform Geek & Sundry, owned by Legendary Films, where Sarah performed a set of her top singles to an in studio audience in LA.
She is currently working on her follow up album which includes collaborations with Top 40 CCM artist Jason Gray (Centricity Music), composer Avery Bright (U2, OneRepublic) and her husband Vian Izak.
