Hey! I’m Jasmin. I’m a 31-year-old New York City native who studied Music Industry in Connecticut for college, and moved to Kansas City, where I now live and work in ministry.
I’m a singer-songwriter and worship leader. My debut EP, ‘All For You,’ released on Friday, June 11, 2021. I’ve been singing, playing instruments and writing songs since I was a kid. Christian artists have deeply shaped my life and my relationship with God through their testimony and their music. I make music of my own because all I’ve ever wanted to do is have that same kind of impact on someone else’s life and honor God with my gifts as I do it.
If I could sum up what I do in ministry in a few words: I pray, I write songs and lead worship, I do college ministry and disciple young adults, I blog, I make videos and social media content, I teach the Bible. I love Jesus and I love talking about faith with people. The slightly longer version is...
Jesus won my heart as a pre-teen and ever since I’ve wanted to devote my life to helping others come to faith in Him and grow in relationship with Him. God called me to ministry at 15-years-old and I’ve been serving in ministry ever since–in volunteer roles throughout my high school and college years and now as my full-time occupation for the past seven years. That’s about 16 years total so far of working in ministry. I work for my church serving in college ministry and prayer ministry, worship leading, and stage managing church services.
I’m a staff contributor at NewReleaseToday, the largest Christian music site online. At NRT, I write a devotional series called Live Beyond the Lyrics, which helps you discover the scriptural themes in the lyrics of your favorite Christian songs. I write album reviews and interview Christian artists about life, faith and their music. I’m also a contributor at Marked Ministry Magazine, where I get to write articles about how to live set apart for God in all areas of life from faith to pop culture to relationships. I’m so beyond privileged to work with these two amazing teams of talented, Jesus-loving writers!
As for how my own blog got started? As I’ve grown as a Christian. I’ve had to sift through a lot of well-intended wrong paradigms about who Jesus is and what following Him really looks like. This launched me into a journey to filter through the noise and find out the truth. I wanted to discover from the Bible what biblical Christianity really looks like in belief and practice so that I could live that as humbly and honestly as I can and help my peers do the same. My blog, Living Authentic Christianity, is the result of that ongoing journey.
