Rachel Hale, a small town country girl from Prescott, Arkansas, has never been a stranger to the spotlight. Beginning at a young age, friends and family commented on Hale’s talent for singing as well as her showmanship.
While interning in Los Angeles, California, Hale auditioned for Season 12 of American Idol and became a Top 20 Female Finalist competing on the show. Billboard ranked Hale’s performance of Grace Potter’s “Nothing But the Water” as one of the Top 12 Moments of Season 12, and the judges named Hale the “happiest contestant” because of her unshakable smile. Hale has opened for Tracy Byrd, Joe Nichols, Joe Diffie, and Chris Cagle. Hale has shared the stage with legends such as Peter Frampton and Ricky Skaggs. Hale was also casted as a background singer in Season 2 of ABC’s Nashville.
In 2012, Hale joined Nashville Life Church, pastored by Grammy Award Winning Artist Cece Winans. Hale began to lead worship for the church, and in the spring of 2018, Nashville Life Church released their debut worship album Shine On Us. In the fall of 2019, “Firm Foundation,” a song Hale co-wrote for Nashville Life Church’s album Shine on Us was recorded by award winning gospel trio, Selah. The song, “Firm Foundation,” became the title of Selah’s album as well as a single for the album. The album Firm Foundation was awarded Inspirational Album of the Year by the 51st Annual Dove Awards.
