Savannah Gibson was born and raised in Louisburg, North Carolina where she had a simple small-town start. In 2017, she relocated to Eden, North Carolina with her family and experienced many ups and downs in an effort to “re-invent” herself. Through heartbreak, loss, college, career changes, three moves, etc., the one thing that remained constant in the middle of the chaos was Jesus and music.
Songwriting became a coping mechanism that brought her healing and drew her closer to the heart of Christ. In 2020, she felt in her Spirit that she needed to release her songs in hopes that it would impact others the same way that writing them did for her. In September 2020, she reached out to Courage Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina and the team created a plan to help her bring her songs to life.
One month later, Savannah faced a crisis in her personal life that made her feel like she had to make a choice between two paths. Neither option seemed right in her heart, so instead she just chose Jesus. She surrendered her future, relationships, career, and her plans back to God, though it wasn’t easy. During that time, God used her own songs time and time again to speak to her. It was as if God gave her the lyrics “in advance” for such a time as this. That’s when she knew it was time to get serious about releasing her music.
For a while Savannah was confused why God told her to start working on recording her music back in September when He knew her life was going to seemingly fall apart a month later. She even wondered if she had just heard Him wrong altogether. However, looking back, she says that she feels like His timing was perfect. Had she not reached out to a producer who would hold her accountable and walk her through the recording process, she probably would have become discouraged and quit on her own.
Savannah currently lives in Providence, North Carolina with her husband, Hunter, and her three fur babies, Thor, Lilly, and Sebastian. She also serves on the worship team at her local church, and she is very passionate about emotional health and wellness. In her free time, she loves to go to coffee shops with her husband, read, work out, and bake. Savannah feels most in her element when she has the freedom to be creative. Whether it be painting, creating T-shirt designs, writing songs, or home making, these are just a few of the things that make her come alive.
