My name is irrelevant, but His is everything. I was once a cocaine addict and alcoholic. I came from an alcoholic family with abuse and death all around me. Arrests, overdoses, and suicide were a normal part of my life. I've experienced depression, anxiety, and darkness. I've done a lot of things I'm not proud of. I was and still am a sinner. The only thing that has changed is that I accepted Jesus into my life. For a long time I carried guilt and shame for the things I've done. God pursued me relentlessly with love, grace and forgiveness. I slowly began to transform. I quit living a fast and reckless life and my life began to change. As a christian, all I want is to extend the same love and grace to others, the same way it was shown to me. Hydro Walkers comes from Matthew 14:28-29 when Peter sees Jesus walking on water. His faith allowed him to walk on the water toward Jesus. That's the kind of faith I want to have. He began to doubt because of what he saw, which caused him to sink. It's such a powerful reminder that even in the face of a storm, keep your eye on Jesus. Invest all your faith in Him and walk through the storm. I intentionally made it plural to take the attention off of me and the focus on Him and believers as a whole. We can all walk on water. We can all walk in faith. We can all walk in love. And we can all walk in grace.
