Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Chidiya grew up listening to a wide variety of music from pop to soul and R&B, Afrobeat to classical and gospel. Singing in choirs and listening to “boy bands” like Backstreet Boys, and contemporary Christian groups like DC Talk made him fall in love with harmony, smooth vocals, and varied musical styles. He became a Christian at a young age and his faith in God is what fuels his music.

Today, he is blessed to be a singer-songwriter with his debut single released in December 2019 and debut EP in December 2020. Two singles have followed in 2021 “Messengers” first and “Amazed” after that. “Already Blessed” a powerful reminder to be grateful on a daily basis, was released in February 2022, followed by a remix in September 2022. His heart’s desire is to be a conduit for God to flow through and touch the world for His glory.
