Eric Champlin is a melancholic hip-hop artist from San Jose, California whose lyricism brings a distinctive pop style to his alternative hip-hop sound. Often compared to NF and Twenty One Pilots, Eric's lyricism resonates with fans around the world. In 2015, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in music by collaborating with local producers and songwriters. While in Nashville, he also graduated from Belmont University with a B.B.A. in Music Business.
Eric has a passion to comfort listeners struggling with depression and anxiety. Because of this, his music purposely reaches this targeted demographic, in an attempt to remind his listeners that they're loved and not alone in the fight.
The three singles "Silence II (feat. Mikayla Jackson), You Don't Gotta Go, and Fight or Flight" were all written with the intent to dive deep into negative emotions, by shining a light on issues that hide in the dark. "Where You Begin (feat. Mikayla Jackson)" was purposely written with a slightly brighter sound, incorporating Eric's Christian faith in God. "Stay (feat. Kiera Loveless)" was created in an attempt to capture listeners who prefer a light, mainstream pop-sound.
