"I believe that every person has been given a unique story and gift. Your specific story finds purpose in God's greater story. When you embrace your true identity in Christ, He can use you to leave a legacy that echoes into eternity. I pray that my music empowers you to run hard after the Lord and step into all God created you to be in Christ Jesus!"
Christian Music Artist Stephanie Owens captivates audiences with her compelling voice, contagious smile, and magnetic stage presence, which flow from her love for Jesus, passionate heart, and vision. Her music creatively captures both the raw vulnerability and bold intentionality of her personality and character.
During a several-year stint pursuing country music, Stephanie independently released a five-song EP, five Singles, including her rendition of the classic Christmas song, "Mary, Did You Know?", and four Music Videos. Her music garnered attention from many outlets, including CMT, who featured her music videos, and earned her a National Television debut on The Huckabee Show, where she performed and shared about her eating disorder recovery and true identity found in Jesus.
Stephanie's rendition of the National Anthem has received widespread acclaim, most notably for her performances live on NBC for a NASCAR race and at NFL, NBA, and NCAA games.
As of 2023, Stephanie began wholeheartedly chasing the new direction the Lord has for her in Christian and Worship music. She is on mission to write and release songs that embolden others to follow Jesus and live passionately for His glory.
Stephanie's desire to help people discover their true worth and confidence in Christ stems from her experiencing the joy, hope, and peace only found in the Lord in the midst of suffering -- knowing that every heartbreak and detour paints a beautiful picture that can inspire and encourage others. "The only One worth singing about is Jesus, and the Truth of the Gospel is needed in this world now more than ever. Whatever you are going through, Jesus is the answer. He is more than enough and will satisfy your deepest longings. He is Good. He is Faithful."
Stephanie released her first original worship song, "Faithful Father" co-written and co-produced with Grammy-and-Dove nominated songwriter and producer, AJ Pruis, on March 15, 2024. "Faithful Father" is a worship anthem that celebrates the unchanging character of God, encouraging listeners that through faith, we can navigate life's storms with confidence in the Father's faithful Presence.
The lyric video for "Faithful Father" is a visual extension of the song's message, featuring scenic landscapes that echo the song's lyrical imagery. Owens, who has a background in dance, adds a unique touch with a lyrical dance performance in the official music video, emphasizing worship's physical expression. This creative choice not only highlights her versatility as an artist but also connects with the biblical tradition of dance as worship.
She is actively in the studio working on additional upcoming releases with Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning producer, Barry Weeks, and is dedicated to spreading hope and the truth of the Gospel through her music.
One could say that Stephanie's move to Nashville was always bound to happen. Growing up in a family of working musicians, her love of singing and performing developed at a very early age. When Stephanie was only seven years old, she landed her first professional recording gig for Veggie Tales. Around this time, she also began writing her first songs. During her teenage years, Stephanie grew more accustomed to the stage and began receiving recognition for her giftings. No stranger to large crowds, she appeared numerous times as a featured soloist at community and university events where there were more than 10,000 people in attendance at each performance.
While in college, she also gained experience in front of the camera and in the studio. She made her film debut when she was chosen to play the starring role of Faith Garrett in Finding Faith the movie, co-starring Erik Estrada (CHiPs). The movie was released nationally in 2014 and made available for steaming on Netflix and Amazon and at Wal-Mart retail stores. The movie soundtrack includes Stephanie singing a featured song and a lullaby, which she composed for the film.
After graduating from Liberty University, Stephanie moved from her hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia to Nashville to pursue her God-given calling. Enthusiastically-embracing the journey ahead, Stephanie is committed to using music as a platform to impact the world for Christ.
