This is the first book I have read by author Julie Cave and is the third book in her Dinah Harris Mystery series. The way she develops the characters is in such a way that you do not feel like an "outsider looking in "if you have not read the first two novels. The book shows the failure of human beings and religion and shows what true Christianity is and should be( a relationship with JESUS). Mrs. Cave captures the tensions that exists between Christians and Secular Humanists in the United States well. The story has bits in it that reminds me of Sean Penn's film "Dead Man Walking" and Steve Taylor's song "Innocence Lost" as her main character shines the light of JESUS even though she is a young Christian. I look forward to reading her other novels.
