This is my favorite part in the whole LOTR trilogy. I especially like the part with Tom Bombadil and the adventure in the Old Forest. I've read it at least up to that part about 7 times. After that I seem to lose interest. But the whole trilogy is very good.

what an incredible book! read it after watching the movie and still in awe of the magical details and how Tolkien makes the book come alive. i especially like how you can see resemblances to things of the Bible.

This book was easier to follow than the Hobbit, but i also read it after seeing the movies. Some parts made me glad to read the book because they were excluded from the movie. Other scenes I liked better in the movie. When i got near the end it I was so excited, but then i was disappointed that Boromir didn't get shot yet so now I have to read the next book. Which will take me another 5 months because I get too distracted

This book is great if you are a big lord of the rings fan. It goes into the story much deeper with our old friend Tom Bombadil and many others. I recommend this book.

this book is great even if you're not already a LotR fan! how else to become one? besides watching the movie... so it starts out a little... well, there's a lot about hobbits and stuff in the beginning... i guess the word is "boring". once you get past that, it's good. in my opinion, anyway... of course, i saw the movie first, so i already had somewhat of an idea what was going on when i read the book. but i'd recommend it.

Go watch the movie it's less confudaling. You'll love this book if you have a big vocabulary.
