Once again, Hunt has created a storyline that no one else has ever thought of before. The Pearl ranges from dealing with the loss of a loved one to cloning. It's about a radio announcer whose son dies in a tragic car accident. She loved him better than the older daughter that she and her husband adopted earlier in life. This causes conflict among the family. The plot is interesting and once again professionally written. The characters are well thought out. Though it isn't her best book, it's still worth reading. 3.5 stars
