We wear ourselves out trying to be smarter, bigger, the center of attention. But dynamic communicator Louie Giglio's latest book puts success back in perspective. When John the Baptist said that he must decrease while Jesus must increase, he was expressing the secret to astonishing freedom...and incredible rest. This book will teach you the rich, meaningful lifestyle of being small. Free from the worries that used to strangle you, you'll radiate the power of the God who is all the things you aren't!

I am not, but God knows my name.

I am not, but He has pursued me in His love.

I am not, but I know the Creator of the universe.

I am not, but I know I AM!

If you see life as your own one-act play and history as your story, you could be in for a rude awakening when the curtain finally closes on your tiny tale"and you discover that life wasn't all about you after all.

The real story of life is God"I AM"the main character and true star of time and eternity. He is at center stage in all of Creation, and He wants you to know Him by name. Knowing I AM means embracing your smallness in light of His greatness.

Savor the true meaning of life as you learn to work and rest in His power, spending your life for what lasts forever"the unending glory that is God's alone.

I am iamnot | Posted July 23, 2013
I just finished reading Louie Giglio's book "I Am Not But I Know I Am". I have enjoyed watching and listening to Mr. Giglio and find him to be insightful, entertaining, and thought-provoking. In this book he tackles the subject of the magnitude and magnificence of God and the smallness of man. In his creative and exuberant style, Mr. Giglio uses personal experience and Biblical storying to make the point that God is the almighty Creator who is beyond our comprehension and yet has included you and I in His glorious story. We are infinitesimal at best - mere specks in a vast expanse of space, stars, planets, galaxies, and more, but, in spite of our smallness, He loves us and has created us with purpose. What is that purpose? To worship and glorify Him for who He is.

He is I Am and I am iamnot.

I found the book easy to read, but not in a way that distracts from what is being said. The truths shared are not revolutionary and yet remained fresh and engaging because of the author's energy and wit. Overall the book was a quick and encouraging read.

Read this Book! | Posted August 04, 2009
Louie knows how to make things applicable in your everyday walk. He is able to make a connection with his readers from the beginning. He will teach you how to humble yourself. This is a book that can be read by teen-agers, twenty year olds, and even adults. Louie has a PASSION for people to have a connection with God. He is also an awesome speaker. Check out his DVDs as well.

Solid and poignant look at ourselves as Christians | Posted January 15, 2009
Louie Giglio, accomplished and gifted speaker, organizer, and leader, takes a look at what makes us who we are. In a world caught up with the superficial and the unending race to be who we "should be," Giglio takes a step back and gives some perspective on what we are, what we aren't, and what He is. An excellent and easy read, along the lines of Blue Like Jazz, Louie doesn't present as many tough questions as many other modern Christian Living books, but nevertheless, a serious introspection into our own self-worth is sure to follow. I would recommend reading this book for any who truly want to follow God's calling in your life. If you are struggling with the authenticity of the call, or your qualifications for the calling this should be your first stop.
