The book really came out in 1956 but the dates would only go down to 1981.
The Last Battle is a children's fantasy novel by C. S. Lewis, the seventh and final book in The Chronicles of Narnia, published by The Bodley Head in 1956. Like the others it was illustrated by Pauline Baynes and her work has been retained in many later editions. Lewis won the annual Carnegie Medal in Literature recognising the year's best children's book by a British subject.

From the very first pages i could see so many parallels. Some of it transcends my mental capability but that's alright because it's still fun to read. Some of the end is from Revelation and the other prophecies, but other parts are changed... because this is Narnia :P
