This book is about the first 4 years in the marriage of Laura Ingalls and Almanzo Wilder.
It includes the birth of their child and their struggle as farmers on the South Dakota prairie in their own little house.
This is the last book in Laura's Little House on the Prairie books, but if you want to know what happens next, there is a series of similiar books about Laura's daughter, Little House the Rose Years (by Rose's friend Roger Lea MacBride). There are also prequels (please see author's bio).
