Shine Bright Baby and
Jonathan Thulin were involved in a weather-related crash in Minnesota yesterday that left their equipment trailer severely damaged and the last two shows of their joint tour canceled.
Both artists indicated in separate posts that while no one was seriously injured, the incident dealt the tour a serious blow both logistically and financially, and they pledged to reschedule their shows planned for Duluth, Minn. and Green Bay, Wisc.
"Sometimes on tour... not so great things happen!" Thulin posted on Facebook. "Got into a pretty bad accident today. We are all fine ... keep us in your prayers! Be careful with the snowy roads guys!"
The weather indeed has been treacherous, to the point that the Governor of Minnesota recently declared a state of emergency there.
"Weather has been difficult the last few days for traveling and today we got in an accident that left our trailer in pretty bad shape," Shine Bright Baby posted on their Facebook page. "We are all okay and the majority of the gear is okay (despite being scattered all through a median strip in northern Minnesota). We are so sorry to all the fans that were planning on coming out to the shows. We are working to reschedule them right away. Please keep us in your prayers as we figure out what to do from here."
Added Shine Bright Baby frontwoman Emily Irene, "It really should have been a lot worse. We were seriously protected."
If you are interested in giving financially to offset the cost of the damages, the artists are accepting donations through their associated
