Jon Guerra is already part of Vertical Church Band and has generated a fair amount of momentum coming off his first major nationwide solo release, Little Songs--but now, in an already big year of music for the Chicagoland artist, he's readying a holiday album with his wife, Valerie.
Although Valerie Guerra is no stranger to fans of Jon's music--the talented singer, violinist and artist in her own right toured and performed with Jon during the Rock & Worship Roadshow earlier this year--the surprise new record It's Almost Christmas is a first for the couple as a bonafide duo.
The Guerras self-recorded and self-produced this project from the comfort of their Chicago apartment. Releasing Friday, Nov. 13, It's Almost Christmas features 11 tracks that feature covers of some holiday favorites, as well as four original compositions by the pair.
The couple will be opening for Amy Grant and Vince Gill at the historic Ryman in Nashville this December. This eight-run show is an annual holiday tradition in Nashville, and Jon and Valerie will be performing songs from It’s Almost Christmas. Click here to purchase tickets for one of the eight shows.
