The Rocket Summer has released a music video for "Same Air," the first song from the as yet untitled 2016 release.
The visually stunning and complex piece features Bryce Avary (the creative force behind The Rocket Summer) falling through the atmosphere opposite actress Hannah Simone (New Girls), who is a personal friend of Bryce's. The video relies heavily on brightly colored computer simulated settings. You can watch it below.
The music video debuted via Idolater.com. Bryce Avary told the site "I wanted to make a video that attempted to visually match the color in the song, 'Same Air'. The directors had this trippy idea to tell a story of me falling from space through a beautiful, convoluted earth. I loved the idea but didn't want to be the only one in the video since at the heart of it, the song is about unity and how we're all connected. So I asked my friend, actress Hannah Simone to see if she'd like to be in the video as well, telling a story of two people from opposite sides of the planet on this similar esoteric journey."
"Same Air" precedes an album that Bryce has said pushed him "further creatively than any of my previous albums." You can find out more about the album and preorder it by visiting The Rocket Summer's PledgeMusic campaign page here.
