Chelsea Musick, independent Christian artist who has penned songs like "Keep Your Pants On" and "Perfectly You," appeared briefly in last night's episode of American Idol.
The singer explained in a facebook post later that she made it through all of the pre-auditions to the point of auditioning for the TV judges. She performed her song "Perfectly You" and shared her faith with the judges, but did not make it to the next round.
Chelsea isn't too disappointed, however. "I was NOT sent through to Hollywood week, and honestly, I am relieved!" Chelsea said in her facebook post. "I am so grateful for the opportunity and time I had with the show and I am sooo excited for what God has next for me. Love you all! Good luck to the rest of the contestants this year!" The artist also posted a selfie she snapped with the TV while her face was shown.
This is the final season of American Idol, a show which has served as the starting place for many Christian artists over the years, including Colton Dixon, Danny Gokey and Mandisa.
