It's been a mixed week for Decyfer Down as they celebrated the release of their new album The Other Side of Darkness and then learned they were facing $2000 worth of unexpected bus repairs.
The band posted on Saturday, April 9 that following their North Carolina stop on the City Rockfest tour with Disciple and Seventh Day Slumber, their bus was having issues. They took it in to get checked out and learned they were facing a rear end overhaul adding up to around $2000. The band had to cancel their appearance in Maryland as the bus got worked on. In their facebook post, Decyfer Down said "If anyone feels led, and wants to help financially with the repairs, you can donate on PayPal to: support@decyferdown.com." After the band gets the bus repaired, they hope to rejoin the City Rockfest tour, which will continue to run through the end of April.
This isn't the first time Decyfer Down fans have been invited into the group's ministry. The Other Side of Darkness was funded entirely through an indiegogo campaign, as the band has taken the independent route alongside many of their hard rock peers in recent years. This freedom and direct listener relationship led to The Other Side of Darkness being some of Decyfer Down's strongest music to date.
The band also expressed their gratitude for that connection and fan support, saying "Thank you for all of your support through the years! DD fans are the best!"
