Outlive will release a full three years after their 2014 project Extremist, a gap which marks the longest space between albums in Demon Hunter history. "The last 3 years have been an absolute whirlwind. We've welcomed 5 children into the Demon Hunter family, endured heartbreaking trials, and experienced joy beyond comprehension," the band explained on their campaign page. "Outlive is a culmination of these peaks and valleys. It is a journey through adversity, survival, and overcoming the odds. They say the best stories are told by those who have lived a life worth commenting on, and we believe that our stories will resonate with each of you in some way."
The accompanying the campaign also features the first teaser of new music. Demon Hunter sees the PledgeMusic platform as a unique way to connect with their dedicated fanbase. "The relationship we share with you has always been uniquely special... The new album is scheduled for a spring 2017 release and we are going to make the journey from here to there as thrilling as possible."
When the announcement broke on September 14, fans' support and an outpouring of social media excitement were immediate. After just a week,
Outlive has reached half of its listed PledgeMusic goal.
