The wait for new music from Lecrae is over, with a new single heralding a new era for the legendary Christian rapper.
Lecrae has been hinting on social media for the past few months that new music was brewing as snapshots of him in and out of the studio appeared. The appetizer has finally arrived as he released a new single on Friday titled "Can't Stop Me Now (Destination)," produced by Reach Records' own Alex Medina. You can stream the new track on either Apple Music or Spotify. The single is available for purchase on iTunes by clicking
here.
The timing coincides with Lecrae expressing feeling "done" with American Christian culture in a letter he penned to The Huffington Post on October 20. In the heartfelt piece Lecrae pinpoints the pains of humanity, his struggles with constantly being misunderstood and his heart on racial injustice over the previous two years. Lecrae took his platform to speak on racial tensions to the mainstream side of the industry with a collaboration on the
Birth of the Nation movie soundtrack. "On My Own" with Leon Bridges feels like an extension of
Church Clothes 3. The movie depicts the story of the 1831 slave rebellion led by Nat Turner in Virginia. The single or entire soundtrack may be purchased on iTunes by clicking

Fans can check out his new track live along with some of their old favorites during The Destination Tour. The 18-city tour begins on October 25 in Columbia, South Carolina. Tickets may be purchased by visiting

With a new single and collaboration, the promise of a soon-to-be released eighth studio album, a tour and the emotional outpouring of his current mindset, Lecrae rarely sits still long, constantly using his faith as a tool for change. You can keep up with him on
