SKRIP, born Adriel Cruz, will celebrate his 30th birthday in February. With Exposition, he bears the heart of a mature, seasoned lyricist equipped with crisp, skillful wordplay primed to impress fans of all ages. SKRIP has made the most of his multiple spiritual gifting, as he's the founder and pastor of World Renegade Church based out of Chicago. He wrote, produced, and recorded this entire record individually. SKRIP can be credited for the maturation of hip-hop heavyweights Thi'sl (Beautiful Monster) and Andy Mineo (Formally Known) due to superb songwriting, production, and vocal contributions. "I wanted to open myself up on an album like I never have before. Often times people see the good, they see the packed shows, me traveling every moment city to city, but people do not know anything about the bad, weak moments or the fear, anxiety I've faced throughout my journey and I wanted to open myself in a new way on Exposition."
 
"Exposition came to me as I was in an art museum at an airport returning from a concert. The term ironically is translated as a large public display of art and on this project I'm opening up through the art form of music about hardships in my life and how faith must lead the way."
 
"Through the various struggles of knowing there's much more ahead, but not seeing it yet; I let out a few of my personal thoughts, trials and struggles. In the end, it's my trust in the Lord which keeps me from being stranded and thinking I'm alone while fighting the good fight."
 
"It's not easy to travel, preach, start a church from the ground up or an independent record label, but trusting in the Lord in a very real way has literally caused the road to be God-ordained. I've never tried to be someone I wasn't, just sometime I am. I've been rapping and preaching since the age of 5. Time and time again, I've seen God on my side and I couldn't be more thankful daily that he allows me to do what I do; I just want His Will to be done."
