Three musicians from Tooth & Nail Records’ hardcore division, Solid State Records, have been nominated in the first-ever Alternative Press Music Awards, and now fans will decide if they will take home the hardware.

Guitarists JB Brubaker from August Burns Red and Chris Rubey from The Devil Wears Prada, and August Burns Red drummer Matt Greiner have caught the attention of Alternative Press, a mainstream media outlet that covers hard rock and hardcore bands. Despite many Christian themes in their songs, both bands have a passionate mainstream following.

Joining Brubaker and Rubey in the Best Guitarist category is Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold, Phil Manansala from Of Mice & Men, Jack O’Shea of Bayside, and Falling In Reverse’s Jacky Vincent. 

Greiner’s fellow nominees include Jess Bowen from The Summer Set, Josh Dun of twenty one pilots, Mike Fuentes of Pierce the Veil, Luke Holland of The Word Alive, and Ryan Seaman of Falling In Reverse.

Fans may vote (only once) by visiting altpress.com. Voting is open through July 15. The Alternative Press Music Awards will take place Monday, July 21, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum at North Coast Harbor in Cleveland.
