"I CANT BELIEVE IT'S HERE! So beyond excited to share my new single "Witness" with y'all! This song is about the fact that everyday we go through things like stress, fear, anxiety .. yet we also deal with joy, blessings, happiness! BUT the beautiful thing we have as believers is the promise of Gods sovereignty over everything. His love, grace & mercy never ceases. That's truly what "Witness" is about! Coming together as a community, as a church & proclaiming God hand over everything in our lives!!!! SO, Can I get a WITNESS?!" the "Never Too Far Gone" singer shared via social media.
"Choosing "Witness" as the first single just came down to what we really want to say first-thing for this new record," Feliz says. "I want every record to represent a season in my life, because we're all going through things and my prayer is we can resonate together. "Witness" is about how God is creating miracles in our lives every single day, but oftentimes we don't see a lot of it. This song is a way to acknowledge that and put Him on the pedestal and throne where He belongs."
Coming not long after last month's 1 Mic 1 Take EP, the song is quickly seeing a positive response from fans and critics alike as it has already been added to Spotify's New Release Friday and Apple's Best Of The Week playlists and is currently sitting in the Top 10 on iTunes' Christian & Gospel charts."Witness" also gained double-digit radio adds in its premiere weekend (Air 1, Sirius XM, Joy FM, Family Life Radio, among others) and currently holds over 112,000 Spotify streams.
The release of "Witness" was a bright ending to a hard week for Feliz and crew, whose tour bus got in a minor accident last week. Though thankfully no one was hurt, it was a scary experience. "Last night at 2:30am my band guys and the crew for the All In Tour woke up to our bus crashing. Everyone is safe. Praising God for having his hand over the bus. I think everyone is a little shaken, even me and I wasn't even on the bus cause the family and I are driving up separately. But y'all, this is proof of how much the enemy tries to destroy what we do. I am sitting here typing this just thanking Jesus for his sovereignty over every situation, even when it's hard to figure out the why of everything,"
