Electro/hip-hop/pop outfit Rapture Ruckus recently released a brand new single, "Proof Of Life." The song is from their upcoming EP set to release January 15th, which lead singer Brad Dring describes as a concept album based off the new William Hawk sic-fi novel Ignition.
"After meeting William about a year ago, he shared how our record Invader Vol 2 had inspired him in the writing of this book series he was working on and wanted to know if we'd be open to writing some music to go with the book. After reading the story we felt like it was something we needed and wanted to do," Brad says of the connection.
"We love this first single 'Proof Of Life' so much because it's so relevant to the culture right here right now. There is so much information being thrown at people online, followed by opinions, shallow relationships, leaving people feeling disconnected, lonely, depressed and numb searching for something to make them feel alive. We love how all the songs on this project are inspired by a story and it's characters but are also entirely based in real life and personal experience. It was an incredible experience getting to create and writing Rapture Ruckus music from a different perspective."
William Hawk's Ignition will hit shelves December 5th, with Rapture Ruckus dropping two more singles in mid December and early January and the EP releasing January 15th.
