Recently-launched Rockfest Records is continuing to grow their already stacked roster by adding artists who are passionate about sharing Christ through rock and roll. The latest addition to that mission,
The Protest, was just announced in a post on the band's
Facebook page.
"We are very excited to announce that we have joined the RockFest Records family! We are beyond pumped to take this next step in our journey with a team of people who believe in us and share our vision!" The Protest shared.
The Protest is an up and coming hard rock band from Indiana who have toured with Disciple, The Letter Black, Decyfer Down, Nine Lashes and more. Since 2012, the hardworking band has released two full-length albums, including their most recent in 2014 titled
Great Lengths. The band alluded to new music coming soon, saying "Hold on tight my friends, new music and other surprises are coming soon!"
According to a March 28 post on Rockfest Records
Facebook page, the goal of the label is simply to give a voice to Christian rockers to connect to a strong fan base. "While everyone in the Christian Rock music industry is searching for bands that can live just on the edge of Christianity in order to still sell records to a Christian fan base, there are bands out here who really walk this Jesus thing out everyday with ZERO recognition." The post continued, "Let their message and their songs be played upon the highest mountain. No more will we sit back and watch this industry be prostituted for personal gain."
Keep up with The Protest as they prepare new music and surprises by following them on
Facebook,
Twitter or by visiting their
website.
