Platinum-selling rock band Skillet and Christian music mainstays Third Day will headline The Roadshow 2014, the tour announced today.
The 22-city tour formerly known as The Rock & Worship Roadshow also will feature Reach Records rapper Andy Mineo, hit-making Gotee singer-songwriter Jamie-Grace, high-energy pop act Royal Tailor, and the return of The WE LOVE Christian Music Awards, presented by NewReleaseTuesday.com and sponsored by Grand Canyon University.
Rounding out The Roadshow lineup is up-and-coming rock band We As Human, Colombian modern worship band Soulfire Revolution, and on select dates, The Neverclaim and the Vertical Church worship band.
The tour begins on Thursday, Jan. 9, in Sacramento, and ends on Sunday, Feb. 16, in Salt Lake City. The tour visits Portland, Tacoma, Phoenix, Dallas, and Las Vegas, among many other cities from Alabama to California.
Tickets go on sale Oct. 26. In a change for the tour, all seats will be reserved this year. Concertgoers have the option of paying $20 ahead of time online or by phone to reserve the best seats, or paying $10 at the venue or at the door.
Every night on The Roadshow, attenders will get the chance to experience a real awards show live, as The WE LOVE Christian Music Awards will present a different award each of the 22 nights on tour. They also will be able to vote for a special award new to 2014, The Roadshow Award, which asks audiences to pick their favorite act on the tour.
“We can’t wait to go out on The Roadshow again,” said NewReleaseTuesday.com President/Founder Kevin McNeese. “The artists are top-notch, the atmosphere is electric and everyone has such a great time. From the killer lineup to the new VIP experiences to the return of the WE LOVE Awards, you’re not going to want to miss The Roadshow this year. We’ll see you there!”
