Miss Angie, previously on Myrrh Records in the early 2000's, is working on a new indie-release called the Desert Flags EP, set for release early-to-mid 2020.
Miss Angie launched an Indiegogo campaign to help raise funds for the project, saying, "This record is going to be like nothing I've ever done before and I'm so excited for my fans and everyone else to hear it. Over the years I've matured and grown as a song writer, an artist, and a daughter of God. I have stories to tell and profound spiritual experiences to share through song and lyric. With your help and producer Gabriel Wilson who's worked with Bethel Music and many others, we plan to create a project that will feed your ears and soul."
"After a year 'in the desert' song writing, worship leading, and with my husband on bass and guitar, we have written a collection of songs that far exceeds a 5-song EP. With your help, we will enter the Portland, Oregon studio to put our best songs on record. We will be working with producer Gabriel Wilson who's worked with Bethel Music, John Mark McMillen, and Lindy Conant. We'll also be working with unbelievably talented musicians and engineers. Before we get to the studio, I will be doing pre-production and writing with Gabriel to help craft my songs. He is a top notch songwriter, co-writing "Forever" by Kari Jobe, "Ever Be" by Kalley Hallagenthal, and songs with John Mark McMillen and Delirious front man Martin Smith. We're confident we are in good hands and the production team will steer us to create something totally amazing," she explains on the campaign page.
With a goal of $29,000 to cover remaining recording expenses including mixing, mastering, and hiring a few savvy studio musicians, some of the perks for backers to choose from include a CD with Exclusive Bonus Track(s), T-Shirt, Limited Edition Art, Photo Prints, and more.
