MercyMe has returned to The Rock & Worship Roadshow lineup, once again headlining the nationwide tour it helped create.
The tour formerly known as The Roadshow is back to its original name, original headliners, and original pay-$10-at-the-door ticketing that made it one of the top traveling shows in Christian music. It announced its 2015 lineup today via social media.
Joining MercyMe on the road this year will be a number of current pop and worship acts. Crowder will bring its folktronica from coast to coast, while all the people will say "Amen" with Matt Maher. Jamie-Grace will make a glorious consecutive return with her new all-boy backing band, and Tedashii also will once again make an appearance. Fans will get a first look at the all-new Group 1 Crew, and the tour will introduce new artists I Am They and Jon Guerra. Special guest speaker Shaun Groves also joins the lineup.
In addition to the flat-rate $10 ticket at the door, there will be some VIP experiences available to Roadshow attendees. The tour promises more information on that, as well as specific venues and concert dates sometime in October.
One of the biggest changes to the event is its ownership. The Rock & Worship Roadshow is now owned and presented by child sponsorship/development nonprofit Compassion International.
