Matt Hammitt's 8 year old son, Bowen, had his third open heart surgery early this morning. The Hammitt family reached out to their social media followers at the beginning of the week, asking for prayer.
"It's been such a crazy day," Bowen's mom Sarah shared on Instagram late this afternoon. "The surgery was a success and our sweet boy is resting. The next 24 hours are critical, but for now he is doing awesome. Thank you all for the love and support. It means so much to us."
