Switchfoot has been a consistent force of hope and peace during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering nightly acoustic song sessions. Sometimes the session is just frontman Jon Foreman;other times he has the other band members or even guests from other places and bands. They have already covered a handful of songs that are not Jon's or Switchfoot's music, and the Covers EP will be released June 19th with the first track being Frank Ocean's "Swim Good" on May 29th. Each week the band will release another cover track leading up to the full release.
Switchfoot's Jon Foreman says, "During this strange, unsettling time of isolation, playing these cover songs have brought me a lot of joy. They have reminded me that the world's a lot bigger than the four walls of my own personal quarantine. So we've decided to bring you our first ever Covers EP, our own stamp on a diverse group of songs. We want to shock and surprise you. We want to move you. To dance. To think. Even if we can't be in the same room, it's still our job to bring people together."
Stay tuned to NRT for news on when the EP will drop!
