Veritas delivered a special holiday performance at Volunteers of America's19th annual A New York Winter's Eve to celebrate 118 years of helping tens of thousands of the most vulnerable of our neighbors live safe, healthy and productive lives. Held in the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza on Monday, Dec. 8, Veritas joined guests of corporate sponsors and honorees and friends of Volunteers of America and Operation Backpack as they gathered for an inspiring evening to benefit its Greater New York chapter programs.
The powerhouse contemporary classical vocal group made up of Jeff Anderson, James Berrian, Andrew Goodwin, Jordan Johnson, and Lucas Scott Lawrence, performed two popular musical selections including a moving rendition of "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables. The hallmark event also featured a dinner hosted by celebrity Chef Geoffrey Zakarian and fundraising auctions which took place throughout the evening.
Since its official debut concert in Albany, Georgia in September 2012, Veritas has performed more than 200 shows everywhere from Washington, DC and Atlanta to Colorado, Tennessee and Alaska. Now headlining regularly at Performing Arts Centers and diverse venues across the country, the group has a full tour lineup scheduled throughout 2014 and 2015, including a special holiday performance at Carnegie Hall.
