You don't want Disciple to careen off the road into some canyon or ravine, do you?
All joking aside, the rock band is turning to fans after getting word that their bus needs some emergency attention in order to keep everyone safe. Besides normal maintenance stuff like new belts and batteries, Disciple's bus is in dire need of new tires and brakes. With some major winter season driving about to take place on the band's City Rockfest Tour, the needs become all the more essential, the band said in a plea to its fanbase.
The repairs will cost $6,000 at least. And despite the band's success on radio and in concerts and whatnot, the band asserts, "For those of you that know Disciple well, know that we operate on an extremely tight budget. And factoring things like bus repairs into the budget is next to impossible because the cost and timing of repairs are so unpredictable. Add to that, that we try to take the winter months off so we can spend time with our families, wives, and children."
Having only played two shows since mid-November, the band said that there's been much needed quality time with families, yet without gigging, there hasn't been money coming in.
"So we are reaching out to you, our Disciple family, and asking for your help," a post from the band reads. "We are NOT a non-profit organization, but we can promise you this... Disciple exists to CLEARLY share the gospel of JESUS CHRIST through music, and we will use your gift for that purpose. Thank you so much for your prayers, love and support and we hope to see you out on this tour. God bless you all, we love you!"
