The much-anticipated trailer and launch plan for The Chosen, Season 3 just dropped and it speaks to the continued growing popularity of the groundbreaking, crowd-funded series.
Season 3 will launch in theaters nationwide on Friday, November 18 with the first two episodes showing. Tickets go on sale October 25 at thechosen.tv.3. The series will then come to streaming shortly after that.
Picking up immediately where Season 2 left off, Jesus gives a sermon that turns the world upside down, and all 12 disciples are ready to follow him to the ends of the earth. Season 3 will launch the most emotional and consequential season of The Chosen to date.
"It's taken a long time for Season 3 to get here," shares series creator, Dallas Jenkins. "Believe me, it wasn't by choice. From supply chain issues affecting our construction, to Covid delays, to weather, the making of Season 3 for sure made us weary and heavy-laden. But as you'll see from this trailer, I believe it was worth it. The world changes because of the sermon that Jesus was preparing to deliver at the end of last season, and the believers in (and enemies of) Jesus increase exponentially. This creates confusion, chaos, and yes, doubt, and we don't gloss over any of that in this season. I assure you, you're going to see some tough questions asked that you've no doubt experienced yourself."
Dallas continued to thank fans for their patience with this season citing the fact that during that wait, literally tens of millions of people around the world have discovered The Chosen.
NRT Now Podcast host, Jake Frederick, had an opportunity to visit the set of The Chosen and shared a special look behind-the-scenes filming the episode depicting the feeding of the 5,000. "The film set the team built in less than a year is incredible," shares Jake after his recent on-location visit. "The intentionality they've put into each detail shows how intent they are to immerse you into an experience where you can see Jesus in the time and place where he taught." P.S. Season 3 is NOT a musical. We apologize for the worldwide confusion we caused this past April Fool's Day. ;)
