Four-time Dove Award-winning hip hop artist KB has unveiled his second single from his upcoming album His Glory Alone II, titled "Danza"; an upbeat Dominican-style track where he links up with Latin producer and music artist Niko Eme and Puerto Rican drummer, producer, and composer Cardec Drums. The track is available to stream across all digital platforms.
"'Danza' is a feel-good song, with some classic Fred Hammond crossover infused throughout," explains the Southside Rabbi host. "It's all about encouraging us to have fun in the presence of God."
To support the song release, KB dropped the official music video, directed by Karsten Winegeart & Cobe Grandstaff and shot in the surrounding areas of Tampa. The song's style draws inspiration from the vibrant Dominican music genre "Dembow,'' known for its lively and collective dancing and celebration. The intention behind the video was to capture the essence of the song as a gathering of Believers joyfully expressing their devotion to The Lord and to offer a renewed portrayal of the genre, which traditionally depicts a community reveling in their shared experiences through dance and camaraderie.
"Danza" is one of 16 tracks on His Glory Alone II, set to release on Sony's RCAI/Provident Entertainment on August 11. The album features numerous guest artists, including Lecrae, Wande, Britt Nicole, and more. The author and Billboard Chart-topping artist says this album is his most vulnerable yet. Acting as the sequel to his previous record released in 2020 and the soundtrack to his latest book Dangerous Jesus: Why the Only Thing More Risky than Getting Jesus Right Is Getting Jesus Wrong, KB collaborated with producers WEARETHEGOOD, Scootie Wop and Cardec Drums to deliver a full-length project that expresses the infiniteness of God. Additionally, KB peels back the layers of his own heart and journey, facing childhood trauma, abandonment, confusion, and doubt with unapologetic transparency.
