The Roadshow Tour kicked off its opening leg this past weekend, roaming four cities in the Pacific Northwest, and NewReleaseTuesday.com was there to announce the first several winners of the WE LOVE CHRISTIAN MUSIC AWARDS.
In Sacramento, pop artist Amanda Noelle received the first award of the season, taking home The Next Big Thing Award. The next night, in Portland, Ore., Hawk Nelson was announced as winner of The Relaunch Award for best comeback or lineup change. In Spokane, Wash. on January 11th, Skillet was in the house and personally accepted the win for The Rawkfist Award for best rock/alternative band.
And yesterday, Flyleaf accepted their win in the Hardcore Award for best hard rock/metal band in Tacoma.
The Roadshow heads to California, Arizona and New Mexico this next week, where four more awards will be handed out. To watch the official acceptance videos, and to keep up with the awards pretty much as they're handed out, visit www.theweloveawards.com.
