Dove Award Winning Recording Artist Cory Asbury visited Rutherford County Correctional Center in North Carolina to encourage inmates through music and testimony.
"You're not looking at us waiting for us to get our whole lives together before You come close," Cory prays over the men in the room.
Cory shares his own testimony of struggling to understand the love of our Heavenly Father because of the lack of love he experienced with his earthly father.
In a vulnerable, intimate moment, he encourages inmates with a powerful word about God’s love.
"He ain't mad at you.
He's not disappointed in you.
He's not frustrated with you.
He's not angry with you.
He's not looking at you with a scowl on His face.
There's a smile.
He's proud of you.
You're His kid.
You're His son."
As Cory sings his massive hit worship anthem “Reckless Love” based on the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15, you can sense the tangible love of the Father who leaves the 99 to find the one.
